A Big Fat Lie

Human fat? I think not!
While selling human fat might not seem like the most excellent business venture in the U.S., apparently it’s a viable entrepreneurial option in Peru. So viable, in fact, that Peruvian law enforcement recently felt compelled to fabricate a “human fat killer†conspiracy.
Felix Murga, one of Peru’s top organized crime investigators, claimed a month ago that police had arrested four suspects who confessed to murdering dozens of people and selling their fat to European cosmetic companies via the black market. However, two weeks later other police officers discovered that Murga made the whole thing up – a lie that some claim is an attempt to cover up Peru’s real problems.
