Australia: GG Capital of the World

24 November 2009 No Comment

Big W, Australia’s leading department store, is now the proud owner of  Kai Aiyub‘s Gossip Girl Collection. If you’re anything like me, you watch CW’s Gossip Girl for the chic, Upper East side clothing. Exclusively at Big W, Australians will have the luxury of mimicking their style after Blair Waldorf, Serena van der Woodsen and even (ahem) Jenny Humphrey.

Big W, who partnered with Kai Aiyub and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will be offering fashionable dresses, shoes, bags, and accessories, worn by the trendy characters of Gossip Girl.

The opening of the Gossip Girl Collection on November 19th, meant large crowds at Big W stores around Australia. But, what does it mean for the collection’s celebrity stylist? In an interview for Hollyscoop, Aiyub says: “Gossip Girl is the most fashion forward series on television. Each character’s personality has been perfectly communicated by their distinct wardrobe. Now everyone from teens to women in their late thirties can emulate the styles of these trust fund babies and Brooklyn maybes, but at a fraction of the price.” The latest trends will be affordable, as Big W remains the leading discount department stores in Australia.

The rest of us non-Australians will remain envious, hoping that Kai Aiyub will launch his clothing line in the USA. Until then, you know you love it. Xo, Xo.
