Trendy new earmuff headphones... FYI: I bought the gold ones.

Today, while awkwardly and unsuccessfully trying to maneuver my iPod headphones under my earmuffs, it dawned on me– some people just do winter better than others. On the corner of Hill and Tappan, I bumped into a good friend of mine. He was listening to his music, while staying comfortably warm with earmuffs.

“Aren’t these cool?” he asked, “I got them for a graduation gift.” I nodded my head, my face half frozen, and bolted home, where I did a little bit of research. Earmuff Headphones– a perfect mix of speakers and ear muffs, allowing people to enjoy their music without getting cold.

His were plain, black, and, quite frankly, a bit boring. I found a pink pair, a leopard pair, a metallic gold pair. Trendy, warm, with the ability to listen to my favorite tunes? Perfect. And, the best part? No one will even be able to tell they’re headphones.

Winter is officially here (groan), but at least there are fun gadgets out there for the music-loving, earmuff-wearing college student. Let the winter fun begin…
