Fiber Optics + European Style = Really Cool Club Wear
Like most children of the 90′s, I fell pretty hard for the light-up-tennis-shoe fad. You know, the heel had a couple of red-LED’s that would light up if you stomped hard enough. Sadly those shoes were outgrown, but lucky for me, my adult-hood will not have to be one of non-luminous drudgery. LumiGram, a French design company, has integrated LED technology with trendy club wear, firmly cementing their products at the top of my I-Must-Have-This list and perhaps yours too.
The items (clothing & other accessories) are made from a synthetic Fiber Optic Fabric that is safe to wear, powered by batteries, and looks really cool in the dark. The fashion collection has styles for men and women and range from the general accent on a black tee to more daring uses of the technology and you can also find home decor items.
If I’m wearing a LumiGram top, will this make-up for my poor glow-stick skills during Techno-Raves? Let’s hope so…
You can read more about LumiGram at their website or in this recent article from Jezebel.Â
Happy-Viewing, and many thanks to KB for the heads-up on this trend!
