The internet is a great thing for the art & fashion community.  It’s part of the reason SHEI was motivated to create a blog.  And today I’d like to share some great design sites for your viewing pleasure.  If you’ve got some time, you might find these sites to be of interest.

Wear Palettes is a website that began by creating a grouping of the color palettes found in pictures from The Sartorialist.  Photographs are sometimes from fashion photo-shoots and sometimes street-shots and are accompanied by 4 or 5 colors that are part of the picture.  Not sure what you’d use this for besides scoping out some interesting color combinations, but certainly something to check out.

This site is actually kind of cool…FFFFOUND! is “a web service that not only allows the users to post and share their favorite images found on the web, but also dynamically recommends each user’s tastes and interests for an inspirational image-bookmarking experience!!” (from the website) These seems like a great tool for those of us that *ahem* have to come up with interesting things to post everyday.

And I don’t often go to the Design Observer but I do see the value of having a somewhat academic-style design website in your “Favorites” section of your browser.  Makes you sound great at parties right?

My absolute favorite is DesignSpongeOnline…it’s a guilty pleasure since I don’t own a house and so can’t do half of the stuff featured on the site.  But the photographs are always really eye-appealing, especially in the Recipes section.  And if anything looks familiar on the site, it’s probably because DSO is one of my main inspirations when finding material for SHEIblog.

So there you have it – something for the fashion-ista, the art-minded, and the home-design guru.
