Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 RTW

Attention Fashionistas: Fashion designers are going global, Facebook style. This Wednesday, October 7th, designer Marc Jacobs will be hosting a broadcast of the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 RTW line, LIVE from Paris.

The broadcast can be accessed directly on Facebook, and lets be serious here, most of us will be logged-in already. Pretty amazing, right? No longer are we limited to photo recaps of our favorite fashion designers, since few of us can actually go to Fashion Week.

Perhaps the only downside, the Louis Vuitton show begins at 2:30 pm, Paris time. Which, unfortunately, is 8:30 am Eastern Standard Time. Let’s hope you’re a morning person.

Louis Vuitton isn’t the only designer to go global with online broadcast. Alexander McQueen is also televising his Spring 2010 RTW runway show live from Paris on October 6th at 8:30 pm, Paris time (which is a much more reasonable, 2:30 pm EST).

With a little bit of luck, live online broadcasts of fashion shows will become a staple in the fashion world. And for those of us stranded at school, hundreds of miles away from the nearest designer show, we will finally have something to satisfy us.

:O That sounds absolutely fab… I’m not much of a person for watching runway shows online, but the fact that it’s LIVE just amplifies the excitement and the spectacular-ness of seeing new designs. omg I am sooo gonna skip class just to bum and watch this. XD
