You want to know something that I find absolutely absurd, bizarre, strange, never-to-be-happened again-DOG SHOWS.  We must stop the madness!  And here’s why…

I caught my family watching one this past weekend and couldn’t help but laugh. I am not at all a dog “hater”. I have two shih tzus, Chloe and Mandi, and absolutely love them! I’m one of those people who treat their dogs like they’re humans. And I loveeee putting bows in Chloe’s hair!  But I cannot understand dog shows.

I mean seriously, what are the judges looking for when they feel around the dog’s butt? I don’t know about you, but that is just plan rude and very weird. Some people think women are exploited in fashion shows, but what about those poor four-legged creatures? Does anyone ever think that maybe they would rather be fetching bones than being examined on tables in front of strangers? I think so.

Keep on dressing your dogs and giving them treats, but I encourage you to never, ever enter them into “puppy pageants”!
