SHEI gets 4th of July Vacation

3 July 2009 No Comment

Well, sort of.  We’re going to take a break from posting until Monday when we’ll feature the latest from our Stylehop Correspondent, Megan S.  In the meantime, enjoy the below tips to making the best of your 4th of July Weekend 2009!

Take cool pictures of Fireworks

Tip #1: Celebrate the 4th with Fireworks…but if you’re going to take pictures, check out this guide to Photographing Fireworksfrom Instructables.com

Tip #2: Look classy – Splendicity.com gives you tips on looking fantastic for the holiday weekend.

Tip #3: It’s not 4th of July Weekend unless you check out a Box-Office Opener…strangely enough, there is neither a Will Smith or Alien movie debuting this weekend.  If you’d rather stay in, check out this list of a dozen 4th of July films from Suite101.com

Tip #4: Make good food!! Martha Stewart has lots of ideas…

Tip #5: If you’re going to sing the National Anthem out loud, please please please memorize the words.  Otherwise, the results could be scary.

Tip #6: Text your friends a Happy 4th of July – even the ones you don’t see that often or haven’t talked to in ages.  Any holiday that has its own color scheme is the perfect time to get in touch with people (because they get all sentimental) and Independence Day is great because there’s no outlay of expenditures (you don’t have to buy a present).

Tip #7: (Okay, last tip) Get caught up on all the past SHEI posts.  I know, you’ve been busy, it’s okay, we understand.  Take some time this weekend, maybe leave a couple of comments, and enjoy the sunshine.

Happy 4th of July!
