Looking for something fun and fashion-related? Then come to the Michigan room in the League at 8:3o this Thursday, October 28th. This is a FREE fashion event sponsored by American Rag with a performance by a surprise indie/reggae band.

I’ve got a great reason to be excited for this event.  A few weeks ago, I spotted ads around campus looking for stylish students. After filling out an application and sending in a photo, I was chosen as one of the lucky ten student stylists to represent the University of Michigan. Each of us was given $150 to spend at American Rag and the mission to come up with a complete look representing our individual styles. We will be wearing our outfits to the event tomorrow, so be sure to come check them out.

At the event, people can vote on what outfit they like best. The winner will then be displayed on the American Rag facebook page to compete with stylists  from other colleges. The winning student stylist will get to go to the SXSW music fest in Austin, TX and be an assistant stylist to some of the bands! You can vote for me, Erica Avesian, SHEI stylist!

The first 100 people to arrive will get free stuff! And don’t forget to say you’re a part of SHEI…American Rag is generously donating to our magazine based on headcount.  So bring your friends and don’t forget to register!  Hope to see you all there!
