While I try to stay up-to-date on current events, trends and artists for SHEI (and for my personal satisfaction), I’ve found that tech & gadget sites are rarely written for the technology-lay-person… nor are they often tailored for women (oh great, a new x-box control stick…). So I am excited to have found Popgadget, which “embraces technology as a regular and essential part of women’s lives” – because it’s true.

I’m going to be completely honest.  That adoption curve you heard about? You know, the bell curve representing how quickly populations adopt technology?  You know that blip at the end on the far right?   That’s me.  I could kick your ass at Nintendo 64, but I’ve yet to play the Wii.  I’ve only just accepted the iPod, and am still trying to figure out what to do with all my old CDs.  But this site highlights the best part about innovating technologies: the way new products can be integrated into the average person’s lifestyle, making it easier, more efficient and more comfortable.  While some of the items seem a bit superfluous, others are stylish and seem quite useful.

Even better – the site gives frequent updates about the Tech World.

Best of All – the updates are actually quite humorous.
