Ah, needlepoint. Takes me back to those awkward middle school days where I, unfortunately, took part in after-school needlepoint classes. My stitching never came out right and I poked myself a few too many times. I didn’t even know needlepoint could be “cool.” But, one preppy New Yorker has make needlepoint trendy – it’s different, it’s colorful, it’s Tucker Blair, the needlepoint connoisseur.

Taylor Llewellyn, a graduate of Colgate Univeristy in Hamilton, New York, came up with the name “Tucker Blair” because it just sounded good. Hey, we’re not complaining, it does have a nice sound to it. Llewellyn loved colorful, needlepoint belts for years and decided to launch his own needlepoint product line upon graduation in 2007. And, hey, are we every happy he did!

Tucker Blair is most known for their Cape Cod-style belts and headbands. In fact, their pink polka dot headband was featured on Gossip Girl. And, their prices are relatively cheap compared to their competitors because they do everything through their website. I’m convinced that Tucker Blair is going to become the next big thing.

Thank you, Tucker Blair, for keeping up with the preppy trend. Boat shoes, plaid shirts, khaki shorts, with one of Tucker Blair’s belts? Yes, please!  And, as if that’s not enough, Tucker Blair offers accessories for the holidays! Check out the Frosty Needlepoint Key Fob or the Frosty Needlepoint Belt. I know what I’m getting the preppy men in my life for Christmas…now where can I get these in Ann Arbor?
