War on Women, hey what now?

This seemed relevant to all my magazine-consuming colleagues…Joy Behar from The View musing about the demise of women’s magazines. While I can certainly see that some of them might be promoting something like a “war on women” (her words), some of us aren’t!
Betty Friedan just said “I told you so.” But I don’t think SHEI frames our content in such a way that objectifies women or brainwashes them into obedient consumers for the sake of advertisers. Right?
