Fun with Photoshop in LA LA land.

1 June 2010 No Comment

There must be a general malaise with the streets of Los Angeles. While LA based photographer, Matt Logue, has re-created the city without people, David Yoon has cut the streets in half to give Los Angeles a more intimate, European feeling.

Yoon describes himself as “a writer, designer, photographer” and “urban planning geek” who considers his Narrow Streets: Los Angeles project to be concept art that is “meant to provoke discussion about the city not as a foregone conclusion but as a series of design choices. “  Yoon says that in a world of extreme makeovers, it’s “time to ask: how can re-invent [the urban environments] we have now?”  He suggests the appeal of his project is based on a desire to create a world at human scale.

You can see examples from the Narrow Streets: Los Angeles project below and at Yoon’s website which features an easy to use map.  Feel free to suggest a location as well!
