In case you haven’t heard: the cars at the auto show rock

Everybody's favorite supercar

MLK day and no classes was the perfect excuse to hop on down to check out our favorite winter event: the North American International Auto Show, more commonly known in the area as simply the Detroit Auto Show. Similar to last year, one of the big topics was “driving green” and electric cars. Some of the most interesting cars were definitely the futuristic concept cars, as well as the amazing luxury and racing cars. I don’t know too much about cars, but one of the best parts about the auto show is that you don’t need to know too much to know that red=sexy and sleek is the way to go. Another awesome feature from this year was the station to test-drive sweet new electric cars around on a track.

For the photo geeks, the car show is also a great way to test out a new camera, like I did, and many other people were doing. All the pictures taken here were with my new teeny-tiny Powershot SD1200IS.
