Restaurant Week: Gratzi
Ann Arbor Restaurant Week affords the great opportunity to check out restaurants that are generally out of budget (save for the rare visit from your parents). I made my reservation at Gratzi on Main Street- the college student’s go-to for special occasions.
I went to Gratzi for lunch where the special was three courses for $12. Usually the entrée alone runs anywhere from $15 to $30.
For the first course I had the salad, which consisted of mixed greens, Parmesan cheese, and white-balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was a good start to the meal; it was light and the fresh grated cheese made it unique.
The second course was a choice between three entrées. I ordered the pasta dish, which was disk-shaped pasta with broccolini and Italian sausage. The best thing about the pasta was that it was not covered in a heavy sauce but it still had really good flavor. The Italian sausage, while a little spicy, was not overwhelming to the tongue.
For  dessert I had raspberry sorbet. To me sorbet is sorbet, it’s pretty much good no matter what.
Bottom line: Â a great meal and a good portion to boot.
