A few of my male housemates couldn’t wait until Mustache March and decided to celebrate their ability to grow facial hair by declaring a Beard-Off for the month of February. The competition: who can grow the bushiest beard by the end of the month? Well, I’ve decided to get into the Mustache March spirit early too, in my own, “I can’t grow facial hair because I’m a girl but I still think it’s cool/hilarious” way – which basically means a lot of “cool moustache” queries on Google.com.  The result: my discovery of the Rhode Island School of Design’s Moustache Calendar, “Sex-Confident.”

But I have yet to decide upon my favorite aspect of the calendar. At present, it’s a close tie between the creepy facial expressions of the calendar’s models and RISD’s definition of “sex-confident”:

1. Realistic confidence in one’s power and ability to attract the opposite sex: A dignified, stylish, or simply well-worn moustache is the sign of a sex-confident male

2. Having no uncertainty about one’s own sexuality or sexyness: A well moustachioed man is unquestionably sex-confident.

However, from the samples on the website, it appears as if the individual who coined this phrase confused “creeper” with “confident.” Either that or their idea of a well-worn moustache is terribly skewed. The following men, on the other hand, know how to wear a moustache:
