Upcoming event for Photography lovers…

Mont St. Michel, France, 2007 by Monte Nagler
Are you participating in our photography competition? Did you salivate over the many photo spreads in the Vice issue of SHEI Magazine? Were you stalking the Ann Arbor Photo Project over the summer? Then you might enjoy this upcoming event to be held on campus – Monte Nagler, Around the World in Photographs.
The event is scheduled for this Wednesday, January 13th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, in the Gallery of the Hatcher Grad Library. Nagler will be showing his work – a collection which was taken, you guessed it, at locations around the world – and answering questions.Â
Here’s the cool thing – Nagler studied with Ansel Adams and has won numerous prestigious awards for his stunning landscape photographs. Also, he’s a Michigan favorite, possibly because of his ambitious project to capture the beauty of the Great Lakes State in his 2005 book from the University of Michigan Press, Monte Nagler’s Michigan.
You can see more of his work, from landscapes and architecture to people both in the United States and abroad, you can visit his website. Or, you know, go to his event on Wednesday.
See you there,
-B.C.Bodnar
