Sometimes it’s hard to feel in touch with nature when you constantly have a laptop at your fingers. Luckily, some crafty Apple enthusiasts have created a solution to the ever-expanding gap between humanity and the earth: wooden skins and covers for Macbook and iPad.

KARVT, which is not the name of a chair from Ikea but in fact is a small business (small business as in three employees) located in Denver, Co., sells organic wooden skins that you can apply directly to your Macbook or iPad. The skins range from $35 for a Macbook Original (in Bamboo, Cherry, Maple, Walnut, or Pine) to $50 for a laser-engraved skin from the Artists Series. Skins for the iPad range from $30 to $40.

You can order KARVT skins directly from their website. The site warns that there is currently a two-week turnaround before shipping, which is plenty of time to make sure that your hardwood floors will coordinate perfectly with your new Macbook cover.
