From California Select's Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook

A little over two years ago, American Apparel launched California Select, a clothing line that features handmade, limited edition pieces made from vintage fabrics.  While American Apparel is known for its wide range of basics in every color of the rainbow, California Select sells more intricately designed items in both loud and subtle hues. Its website is worth checking out if you’re into chic, vintage styles, or if you take comfort in knowing that you won’t have to worry about running into somebody else wearing the same shirt as you. Prices are fantastic – a pair of vintage shorts will run you about $35, and there a couple cute dresses available for under $60.
