Hey there all you Pretty Little Liars fans. Just like last week’s article, this piece will discuss some of my favorite moments from the show’s latest episode-Season 2, Episode 15,  “A Hot Piece of ‘A’.” Enjoy!

New Developments

1)   Caleb

As it turns out, Caleb is much more than a small-time criminal and skilled writer of love letters: he is a technology whiz! Not only can Caleb mess around with cell phones and charge his fellow students money for his sketchy services, but he can also track down a cell phone’s corrupted files and use his advanced computer skills to make it happen. Now, if only I could contact the PLL writers to inform them of my brilliant plot idea: bad boy gone engineer.

2)   Hermie, a.k.a. Lucas

This guy has a nice set of teeth. No really, his orthodontist must do good work. If he turns out to still be in Rosewood in the next episode, or, alive even, check out his chompers. Oh right, and he might also be a failed almost-murderer.

3)   Byron is a giant hypocrite

It’s true: teachers and students dating can lead to terrible outcomes, and Aria and Ezra were undoubtedly jeopardizing their reputations by continuing to see each other. Nevertheless, no one knows this better than Byron, Aria’s dad. First of all, he’s a fool for wanting to tell the police about the situation- does he even want Aria to get into college? Second, he dated a student, and then moved to Iceland to avoid his naïve cling-on. So naturally, he is acting incredibly aggressive towards Ezra and Aria; plus, he is severely punishing her for a mistake that, despite its illicit nature, is far less hurtful to others than cheating on one’s spouse. Come on, Byron: Aria might be in love with her teacher, but you are a cheater AND a hypocrite.

4)   Spencer is an equestrian

With each and every episode, I become more and more convinced that Spencer is an equestrian. It started when I saw her wearing riding boots, and from there, it has been a slippery slope. Please, PLL stylists: unless Spencer plans to go horseback riding in every episode, change her style up.

Funny Moments

1)   Spencer’s lake house is a naughty oasis

Spencer’s reaction when Emily informed her about Hanna and Caleb’s getaways to her lake house? Priceless.

2)   Aria makes a funny

The jokes in Pretty Little Liars have been getting much better as of late. Aria’s joke about Caleb’s surprise party taking place in her closet? She delivered it well, and it was a solidly witty comeback. 

Wait a minute…

1)   When did PLL actually become a little scary?

I was watching the latest episode in the library when my friend suddenly came up and tapped me, and I’m pretty sure that I was thisclose to accidentally smacking her in the face out of sheer terror.  So, kudos to you, PLL writers. A job well done this week!
