So you think you can drink?

Well friends, we are now post Beer Summit 2009 and what have we learned?  That alcohol will solve your problems (but cigarettes are still evil).  That brand names are actually really important!  And of course, that nobody really cares about Joe Biden (and was anyone else surprised when he suddenly showed up or just me??) But let’s not get political.

Actually, the whole incident is a great lead-in to something that frequently catches my attention during late-night television watching.  And that is, how cool some of the alcohol commercials have become.

XXDos EquisXX This man will solve all problems

While I’m not impressed with the typical guys-in-bar snore-fests that are too typical, even the window-breaking shenanigans of Budweiser get old after a while.  Hasn’t Corona been using the same commercial for about 5 years?  Maybe just the same beach.

Those fella’s should take a page from the book of the most interesting man in the world, who apparently drinks Dos Equis.  Those commercials crack me up every time – remember, I like cheap thrills.  Why didn’t Obama choose this beer again?  Seriously folks…doesn’t ‘most interesting man in the world’ mean anything?

The visual delight that is the Bacardi Mojito commercial

One of my absolute favorites is Bacardi’s Mojito commercial that features one sexy blazer-clad guy wandering through an amazing decade theme party of sorts.  It also features the song “Daylight” by Matt & Kim.  Not only does  the Bacardi Mojito commercial feature beautiful cinematography, I am just really into that song.  Matt and Kim are heading to Chicago then on to Detroit in September – FYI.  I should do a whole post about them…

Hope all those links will work for you!
