That’s all New York City needs– another trendy lounge.
Located in the basement of the Woolworth Building is one of the newest, hippest, and chicest lounges in New York City, the Wooly.
Rumors have already circulated calling the Wooly the hottest bar in the Financial District. Located on Barclay Street, between Church and Broadway, this new New York lounge sits comfortably in the back of the the Woolworth Building’s famous, contemporary restaurant, The Woolworth Tower Kitchen.
Eric Adolfesen, son of Louis Adolfsen (co-owner of the Tower Kitchen), is the brilliant mind behind the Wooly. A director at the Brand New School, Eric Adolfesen has a vision for design. Vintage, Belgian wallpaper covers the walls, while old, recycled lamps from the Plaza Hotel adorn the tables.
Right now, the Wooly has been focused on hosting small, private gatherings for the holidays, but expect to find Wall Streeters there after work talking stock and lounging around in no time at all.
If the Woolworth Building, one of the oldest skyscrapers in New York, is now housing one of the trendiest bars, who knows what other famous buildings will do the same! Stay tuned…
