SHEI Board
Will Defebaugh, Editor-in-Chief
Will Defebaugh is a senior in the Residential College at the University of Michigan double majoring in Creative Writing and Communications. He is passionate about food, literature, the arts, and above all else — publishing. He was reading magazines before books, enthralled by their ability to capture community and culture (a sentiment he still feels today). The only other one of his interests that dates back further is fashion, mostly for the fun of playing dress up (a sentiment he still feels today). He has interned at both GQ and Vogue in New York City, and has been an active member of SHEI since his freshman year. Long live print!
Grace Grande-Cassell, Creative Director
Joshua Wu,Business Director
As the Business Director, Josh’s job is to oversee the Finance, Public Relations, and Marketing departments. He makes sure that each team knows what they need to do and when to do it, making sure everything goes as planned. In addition to managing the business side of SHEI, Josh also makes any executive decisions on location of events, advertising campaigns, and themes in coordinance with the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director. What he envisions for SHEI is for its market to grow outside of just the Southeast, Michigan region and become more recognized nationally. He believes that this goal is not out of SHEI’s reach and look forward to working with everyone in the coming school semester.
Shea Corrigan, Features Editor
Shea is a sophomore at the University of Michigan, majoring in English. A lifelong love of music, movies, literature, and all such things led her to SHEI Magazine her freshman year. Over the summer, she interned at Flavorpill, a city and culture guide based in New York City, learning the fine art of copy writing. Shea looks forward to SHEI Magazine’s future, promoting the Oxford comma, and orchestrating an underground plot to change SHEI’s spelling to the similarly-pronounced “SHEA”.
Tanika Raychaudhuri is a sophomore at the University of Michigan originally from Princeton, New Jersey. She is majoring in Political Science but is interested in journalism and publishing. She has written for SHEI since Fall 2010. Tanika’s first contributions to SHEI were articles about her travels to different countries. Her role at the magazine has since expanded and she is now the editor of the SHEI’s web content. Tanika loves fashion, art, literature and of course, SHEI Magazine!
Eamonn Wright, Fashion Editor
Eamonn is a senior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in French. Originally from Brighton, Michigan, he joined SHEI Magazine in Fall 2010 in the Literary and Fashion departments, becoming a fashion assistant in January 2011. After graduation, he plans to move abroad, working in French fashion styling and journalism. His inspirations include the designs of Chanel, Givenchy, Yves St. Laurent, Christian Dior and Vivienne Westwood, and style icons Audrey Hepburn and Hamish Bowles.
Zoe Kahn, Design Editor
Zoe Kahn is a freshman at the University of Michigan, dually enrolled in LS&A and the School of Art and Design. She has always had an interest in design and photography. When she was 13 years old she was given her first DSLR and hasn’t let go of it since. A lot of her creative inspiration comes from the pages of Nylon, Vogue and Love magazine. As the new Design Editor for SHEI Magazine, Zoe has become a pro at Photoshop and Indesign. Through this creative experience she’s realized that this is something she would like to pursue as a possible career. Over the summer she plans to intern at a publishing company. Zoe has been interested in SHEI from day 1 of College and is thrilled to be a part of this amazing creative progress!
Christina is a senior at the University of Michigan studying Communications and Art History. Immediately after graduation, she hopes to get her Master’s in Public Relations with which to pursue a career in the fashion industry. Christina has been a member of SHEI Magazine’s PR team for the past three years. She loves how professional and impressive the finished magazine and productions turn out. When she is not busy working for SHEI, Christina can be found at the rink with her nationally ranked synchronized skating team or at her sorority house, Alpha Chi Omega, hanging out with friends.
Inga is a senior at the University of Michigan and has always been interested in fashion and the fashion industry. She is majoring in Communication Studies with a double minor of Germanic Language and Women’s Studies. Inga was introduced to the SHEI team in Fall 2010 when she joined the PR team and modeled for the Fall 2010 issue. Her favorite pastimes include shopping at vintage stores, eating at new restaurants, and styling outfits for different occasions. This past summer, she worked as a corporate and fashion intern at 5w Public Relations in New York City. Her favorite parts of fashion PR are the event planning, media publicity, and forming relationships between local Ann Arbor designers/stores and SHEI.
Jordan is a sophomore at the University of Michigan, thinking to major in economics and international studies. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she joined the SHEI Magazine marketing team in the fall of 2010. Jordan has had a passion for art and photography since she was little, stealing her mom’s camera whenever the chance arose and snapping pictures of almost everything. Her combined interests in art, fashion, and marketing led her to SHEI and in the upcoming years she plans to get many more students involved in the marketing team. In her free time you can find her hanging out with friends at her sorority house or attending University of Michigan hockey and football games. Go Blue, Go SHEI!
