Underground Printing has been up and running for just over ten years now, and it sells, arguably, the best Michigan spirit wear and gear in Ann Arbor. Underground Printing offers custom screenprinting and embroidery, and they even sell hats, polos, Frisbees, jerseys, and other popular items that are often considered more ‘hip’ than what the other college apparel stores are selling. Not only that, but all of the products are manufactured in Michigan (even though they supply college locations all over the country), and they are proud of the fact that their clothing is manufactured “in the good ole U.S. of A.” During any football game, thousands of students can be seen wearing Underground Printing’s handiwork, and their use of neon colors in addition to the classic University of Michigan maize and blue gives their apparel a noticeable edge that students can appreciate. Underground Printing has been recognized as Inc. Magazine's 5000 fastest growing companies for 3 years, and their multiple Ann Arbor locations on Main Street and South University allow for easily accessible college fashions. Just after walking through the doors, anyone can tell that this business has an unexplainable 'cool' factor that many other apparel makers do not, and their fashionable slouchy tees and simple zip-up hoodies with understated Michigan logos are staples that any Michigan student needs to be both comfortable and spirited.
Underground Printing deserves a SHEI shout-out because it is a proud new collaborator with SHEI, and we are very excited to be working with them this year, and even more years to come. We are grateful for their contributions to our upcoming SHEI-Fest fashion show, and are glad to have them take interest in our projects since they are a big part of Ann Arbor’s spirit-wear fashions and college culture.
