A Tailored Opinion: News of the Week

Mariam Sheikh

Well hello world! Let's get down to business. So it is Sunday here in beautiful Ann Arbor. The leaves are falling, the wind is blowing and the sun is shining. But more importantly, The Walking Dead finally premieres tonight! The world has waited in long anticipation for the kick off of Season 4 of the hit AMC series. For those of you who may not watch the show, here is a short and simple background. The plot focuses on an apocalyptic America. A deadly brain disease turns humans into zombies once they die or get bitten by one. The show centers around a particular group of strangers, who soon become like family. We see their struggles to survive, but more importantly we see just how alone they are. Humans have become like savages and no one can trust anyone new. This season picks up right where it left off, after the threat of the "governor" has been eliminated.. (for now).

The show is very slow and dark, however it has captured the attention of millions because of this new and twisted world it has created. According to many online spoilers, the show is supposed to start off with a bang tonight, literally, as actors reveal, there will already be some death. What is keeping most fans on the edge of their seats though is the revelation of a new threat to the world. A threat other than zombies?! What could they use next?  Aliens, evil dinosaurs... creepy clowns? But in all seriousness, tonight's episode is sure to be a good one.

Well, it's fall and it seems like everyone is getting engaged in the celebrity world. The cutest one by far is definitely Once Upon A Time's Prince Charming and Snow White.  Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, who have been dating since the show's humble beginnings are officially engaged! Possibly one of the cutest couples both on the show and in real life, it may be safe to say this fairy tale romance will last!

Aren't they just adorable?!

And the wedding bells just keep on ringing. Star of Laguna Beach, The Hills, fashion designer and author of her own collection of books,  Lauren Conrad is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend, William Tell. The two have been dating for over a year and a half. After many up and down romances since her time on the TV screen, it's nice to hear that she has finally found the one! However, is it okay to deep down still be Team Stephen Colletti?

He definitely a keeper.  That ring is gorgeous!

Last in news for the day - fans have been struggling with the fact that Charlie Hunnam, Sons of Anarchy star, was going to be the leading man in the 50 Shades of Grey film franchise unexpectedly dropped out of the three film franchise, due to schedule conflicts.. We can't help but feel suspicious considering he was just at a red carpet event saying how much chemistry he had with his Ana Steele - Dakota Johnson. While it may be an unexpected slump for the author and film directors, it is a giant leap for the women-kind who weren't thrilled about him being sexy but brooding Christian Grey. So now the question remains, who will replace him?! Fans have made an online petition for the likes of Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, Henry Cavill and many more handsome Hollywood men. It's safe to say that we will be waiting in anticipation until the next leading man is chosen!
