A Tailored Opinion: SPRING/SUMMER 2014 LOOKBOOK
Well fashionistas, it seems a bit of warmth and light has come to us in this arctic tundra that is Ann Arbor. Yet alas, I am not referring to the weather,,, but rather, the bright, bold and beautiful designs from Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion Week. Among the brilliant designers, who all made an edgy splash on the runways this season, were some of my personal favorite designers: Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab. We will start with Murad’s exquisite new couture line and work our way through some of the most brilliant pieces from each of these designers! Prepare to be amazed.
With a lot of neutral and pastels, this line has everything to be coveted this season. With such attention to detail in the form of beading, feathers and lace, this line has a very ethereal, yet regal feel to it.
Let's let the dresses speak for themselves.
And here is his final piece in the line, the wedding gown!
Now for Elie Saab! It seems there is a common theme in these new couture collections and that is embracing the softness of femininity. Elie Saab’s gowns are very flowey, elegant and with the same key attention to detail that Zuhair Murad had in his line, truly exquisite! His designs are akin to paintings on a canvas, incorporating a lot of textured flowers and flower prints in this line.
I am normally not one for print, but this is my favorite of the line!
Each dress as unique as the previous, this year's spring/summer trends are looking extremely promising!
And while we all can’t wear couture on a daily basis, these new spring/summer lines can provide everyone with some fashion inspiration for this upcoming warm season! Hang in there, the sunlight is closer than you think!
